My pieces this year explore pattern and repetition. Through my concentration I created pattern with movement on the head and face. The masks I created show pattern using different materials and concepts. "Masks" are used by everyone in life to hide the parts about themselves that they don't want others to see. I created masks to bring out the parts that are being hidden. Art has taught me to trust myself and keep going even when you wanna give up.. I am a better person because of the people and teachers I worked with through these years.

My main goal was to experiment with unusual mediums. I enjoy creating pairings of metals with plastics, or recycled materials, or just experimenting in general with hopes of happy accidents.

My concentration is a focus on mythical creatures. Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated by their beauty and personality and I wanted to communicate this through my art. In order to add subtle depth I created multiple layers to create life within my pieces.

My other 3D class, Jewelry, was extremely fun this year. I don't make traditional jewelry, but rather wearable sculptures. I've mostly used thin gauge copper metal because it was easier to form into 3D shapes. My concentration for this year was “Play time”. As a kid I'd always go for the toys that were able to move every part of its body, it always gave the toy a more personified dynamic.
